The sounds of industrial environment as you walk down the neighborhood, you hear a bell chime from a bicycle and a random kick into some plastic material. Soon after a motorbike passes by and the sound of people chattering. Next a trucks hydraulics releasing air.

Washing machine with different speeds.

The sound is coming from the fans of a server. By pulling out one of the fans, all other fans turn up to 100%. The microphone is located above the air duct exactly in the middle of the case and thus between two fan fronts. The soundfile starts with the fans on standard speed. After a few seconds the fans turn up to 100%. I left them there for a few seconds and then quietly plugged the removed fan back in. This fan now also switches to 100% - this is the single, delayed "speed up" that can be heard from second 35. About 10 seconds later, all fans return to normal speed. Unfortunately, a colleague came in at that time and ended up talking into the recording. Due to lack of time, i was unfortunately unable to repeat the audio that day, but will certainly do another re-recording in the future. Feel free to use the sound; no attribution required. The sound of a starship's engines throttling back out of some crazy galaxy-hopping ftl drive. The roar gives the sense that it was an energetic peak at some point. Was originally bells. Recorded on zoom h2. (any chirps heard on freesound are not in the download. ).

Opening and closing of zipper.

A plastic bag, paper wrapper and other materials were recorded individually being rubbed. I then layered them in audacity to be played over each other. From the resulting layered sound i generated this 10 second loop. Sounds like a mellow rain upon the ground or a slow crackling fire. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Attribution appreciated but not required.
